An invention of the Southern car culture in the United States, this Monster is typically a highly modified truck that features both a massive suspension and mammoth tires; Tires so big they sometimes measure over 8 feet in diameter!  The purpose of these enormous giants is to crush smaller cars at Monster Truck shows.  Events at the show may include time trails across crushed cars and races around debris-strewn obstacle courses.  From the Monster Truck world has also emerged the wildly popular Car Eating Robots, which act as an encore of devastation at Monster Truck shows.
